I’ve been introspecting what to do with the pre-existing blog on this particular domain. I don’t want to spend too much time posting about writing as opposed to doing the work of writing, but I don’t want to under-utilize a paid domain! I’ve already got a family of sites with different functions and some things don’t fit on the other blogs. This includes cooking, and very occasionally, gardening and other domestic matters. And art! I’d like to post my art here. Past works, and hopefully future works at some point. I’m feeling that itch…but not right now!
I decided that those posts can be parked here so this will be a blog about writing, my very occasional publications, some stray bits and bobs of poems and fiction stuff, recipes and maybe some occasional meanderings about my balcony gardening because that’s related to my cooking.
Scriptorium et Coquina is latin and I may still be a bit off in terms of my cases, but roughly translates to the very obvious Scriptorium and Kitchen. Whether it’s the craft of making food or the craft of making stories, I’m still cooking, really.
And if you’ve read/liked my writing that should be quite clear to see/read.
I hope to post occasional recipes here to bring joy and enjoyment.
Apart from that, I’m really busy right now so I’m not going to be around THAT much.
I created a new twitter account last month, having decided I could not afford to NOT have a twitter account, and there was NO WAY I was returning to the old account. Anyway, tonight I decided to just leave it be because I’m too busy right now (and I’d fallen into old bad habits). Before I logged out, I discovered my old username had become available again so I quickly grabbed it 😛
Oh well. Maybe one day.
I’ll return to twitter, eventually.
For now, more healing is required. And the meeting of very crucial deadlines!
I’ll probably take turns updating my family of sites, and the newly formed instagram will quietly augment blog posts.
